I was the one who placed the yard sign on the corner of Jackson and Morgan because I was told it was OK by a manager from the Supervisor of Electons to place in the right away as long as it was 100 feet away from the building -- and even walked out with me showing me an example of where I can place them.

That's the fact Jack!

PS: This is a Dem FOR Tim!

First - thank you for taking time to visit our website.

Not that it seems to matter but I registered to vote as democrat in February 1975. My principles and values have remained consistent throughout my voting life.

The "mentoring" I referred to has specifically to do with the many years that I have participated in the "Great American Teach-In." It had nothing to do with my avocation of officiating high school sports for which I am paid. I have however, over the past 20 years of officiating worked with and trained many new officials for which I received the best payment ever - their gratitude. Officiating is hardly my full-time job - but I enjoy it immensely.

All of my signs are LEGALLY placed per instructions from the SOE. Unlike far too many candidates who promise to follow the law - many of them start off by violating local laws/ordinances by placing campaign signs illegally. (By the way, while you were taking pictures at the SOE's office, did you get a picture of the vermin that vandalized the car magnet from my volunteer's car? It is sad that people stoop to such desperate levels. Don't you agree?)

Challenge me if you will. Challenge me in public. Challenge me on policy and principle. But I'll thank you to leave my son and family out of this - he serves to guarantee the freedom you enjoy - please just say "thank you." The blog when published was and is accurate. Yes, he's back and I thank God for his safe return and that of the many brave men and women who continue to serve our great Nation.

There is nothing inaccurate or misleading about anything that I have said or written - your "interpretation" of your limited information has lead you to many incorrect conclusions.

I am happy to continue this dialogue here or in a public forum.

I wish you a fine afternoon.

You sure didn't proclaim to be a democrat for the past few years! Republican, through and through! I have to say that I was physically ill to see that you had the audacity to run in this race as a democrat. I can't believe you have the gall to run this campaign with a straight face. "True democrat"? I hardly think so. Shall I go through all of the untruths you have published on this site??? Speaking of which, when did you update your supposed background, or did I overlook it and forget where you proclaimed to be such a mentor and giver of your time to the youth of the community? Of course, you failed to mention that it's YOUR JOB! as a referee....your main source of income. OH! And what about your earlier blog where you say "We will ONLY place a Curtis for Congress campaign sign where we have received permission. We have not and will not place signs in public right-of-way." I have a photo from just today where one of your signs was stuck on the corner of Jackson & Morgan Ave., conveniently across the street from County Center where early voting was taking place. Small fact, but just goes to show that you will state untruths just trying to make yourself look good. And while you were editing your site, you should have updated the fact that your son, God bless him for serving us, is no longer in Afghanistan. (Nothing against him whatsoever) But you've used that to try to make yourself look good? You're a real piece of work, Tim.

As I said in my article - EVERY piece of legislation should include a "sunset" provision. Making and reviewing federal law is one of the primary duties of Congress. Congress has failed in this responsibility as they have in guarding against wasteful reckeless spending. Time for new leadership in COngress.

Regarding the sunset clause, I believe the Patriot Act when first passed and throughout the Bush administration, had a sunset clause. Without it there would not have been enough support in congress to pass the act. This year I read that congress removed the sunset clause and now the Patriot Act is permanent law. That is a scary thought.

Hi Mr Curtis,
I am reading your write up in June NewsMax and I like your Constitutional distinction as opposed to Castor's full on support of Obama's mowing down our great document. Please tell me if you support the NRA and if you will continue to support right to carry permits? Thank you and so far Best Wishes in defeating Castor.
